Kay Hagan Visiting every NC County she can

This coming weekend Kay Hagan is doing something Elizabeth Dole hasn't done since she visited with some sheriffs in the state to shoot her commercial on location - Kay Hagan is visiting real voters in North Carolina. You can keep up with her schedule to find out if she's going to be in your neck of the woods by visiting her web site, KayHagan.com.

Here's the press release with her schedule:

GREENSBORO, N.C. – State Senator and U.S. Senate Candidate Kay Hagan (D-Guilford) will be kicking off her “Best Interests, Not The Special Interests” tour in eastern North Carolina, highlighting Elizabeth Dole’s ineffectiveness on behalf of the state’s families. Dole votes with President Bush 92% of the time and continually puts the special interests before the bests interests of working families. Kay will unveil her ideas to expand and protect our state’s agricultural base, reinvest in rural North Carolina’s educational and health care systems, expand access to broadband and other technologies and ways to make rural North Carolina more competitive and innovative.

Kay will first hold her fourth Veterans Town Hall in Tarboro before heading to Clayton to discuss her rural policy with local residents. Following Clayton, Kay will head to Sims for a tour of Pender Sharp’s farm, which has been harvested by three generations of the Sharp family. Afterward, Kay will hold a discussion with local farmers so she can listen to their concerns directly and learn how she can best advocate for them once she is in Washington.

Kay’s tour of eastern North Carolina continues Saturday in Greenville where she will discuss the need for local education and technology access in rural areas at the Pitt County Community College. In Snow Hill, Kay will discuss rural access to health care during a tour of the Greene County Community Health Center. Kay will then travel to coastal Beaufort County for a discussion about rural issues specific to coastal North Carolina, followed by a roundtable with fishermen in Wanchese. On Sunday, Kay will attend church with local supporters in eastern North Carolina.

Liddy Dole couldn't find North Carolina without a map. We need to elect a Senator who makes her home in North Carolina and cares enough about the people of this state to get out and meet us.

The People's Think Tank

In the comment section of Higher Ground Yankees Fan had this to say:

Before I end this, let me interject a point of humor. When debate whether Spanish should be given special status as language in Texas, a Texas state representative (I hope a Republican) stood up and said, "If English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it's good enough for me."
