It's hard to stay on top of Pat McCrory's lies, but when he claimed to NBC-17 that he was going to continue running a positive campaign I knew he was lying. I was going to dig up some examples, but the NCDP saved me the trouble. The following is a sampling of McCrory's "positive" campaign:

Just After the Primary: AP: McCrory “Slammed” Perdue in His “First Attack of the General Election;” But “Perdue Has the Same Opinion as McCrory.” “Republican governor's candidate Pat McCrory, in his first attack of the general election, slammed his Democratic rival Friday for supporting a policy that allows illegal immigrants to attend the state's community colleges. There's only one problem: Lt. Gov. McCrory Personally Called Perdue a “Hypocrite” and Said “She is part of the culture of arrogance and corruption.” “Mayor Pat McCrory, the Republican nominee for governor, today called Lt. Gov.
