Jay Morrison, Candidate for School Board Wastes Taxpayer Dollars

Jay Morrison, a candidate for CharMeck School Board has decided to waste massive man hours and tax dollars on a trivial search through the emails of 6000 city employees for information on the half cent transit sales tax. [Via WSOC]

I don't know what he hopes to gain. Maybe he thinks he will find information that will embarrass some people. I'm hoping there are some emails that will expose just how the repeal of this tax will threaten all mass transit, not just the light rail system.

Regardless of what he thinks this might accomplish, if it is an example of the type of time-wasting, money-wasting activities that Morrison will endorse, then we don't need him anywhere near our government. There are precious few tax dollars to go around as it is.

The People's Think Tank

In the comment section of Higher Ground Yankees Fan had this to say:

Before I end this, let me interject a point of humor. When debate whether Spanish should be given special status as language in Texas, a Texas state representative (I hope a Republican) stood up and said, "If English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it's good enough for me."
